Ten-Year Limited Warranty

At Alera Marine Group, we stand behind every boat with confidence and long-term assurance. The Alera 10+Life™ Warranty provides strong coverage and lasting peace of mind from the moment of delivery.

Alera Marine Group warrants each new boat to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal, non-commercial use for ten (10) years from the date of retail delivery. Coverage includes:

• Welded structural components
• Electrical systems and factory-installed electronics
• Steering systems and controls
• Upholstery and furniture (5 years)
• Flooring and decking components (non-structural cosmetic issues excluded unless resulting from a manufacturing defect)
• Paint and powder coat finishes (5 years)
• Panels, fences, and rails

Lifetime Structural Coverage

As long as the original retail purchaser owns the boat, Alera Marine Group will cover:

• Main structural frame and crossmembers
• Welded seams and joints on pontoon logs
• Deck-to-frame attachment systems

Canvas, Bimini, and Mooring Covers

Canvas, Bimini tops, and mooring or playpen covers are warranted for five years against excessive loss of color or strength under normal exposure conditions. The warranty does not cover damage caused by trailering with the cover on, operating in winds exceeding 25 mph, rips, tears, snags, unraveling, environmental factors such as mold or mildew, or lack of proper maintenance. When operating under power, do not exceed 25 mph with the top open unless the front supports are deployed.Never exceed 45 mph with the top in open position even if the front supports are deployed.

Transferability

The Alera 10+Life™ Warranty may be transferred once within the first five (5) years of original retail purchase.

• Structural coverage converts to a maximum of 10 years from the original retail purchase date.
• All other coverage continues for the balance of the original warranty period.
• Transfer requires an authorized Alera dealer inspection, completed transfer form, and applicable transfer fee.

Commercial Use

If used for commercial, rental, charter, or business purposes, warranty coverage is limited to one (1) year from original retail purchase.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear, fading, staining, or cosmetic degradation
  
• Damage from misuse, neglect, accident, or unauthorized modification
• Environmental damage, including UV, mold, mildew, rust, corrosion, electrolysis, galvanic corrosion, and saltwater exposure without proper anodes and maintenance
• Damage caused by improper trailering, towing, or failure to support the motor, arch or bimini during transport
• Aftermarket or non-factory add-ons (including Sea Legs, shallow water anchors, oversized ski tow bars, structural modifications)
• Engines, outdrives, batteries, Roc Guard, Metal Jacket and other components covered by their own manufacturer’s warranties
• Consequential or incidental damages (transportation, lodging, loss of time, loss of use, storage fees, etc.)
• Acts of God or natural disasters (hail, lightning, storms, flooding, freeze damage, acid rain, etc.)
• Improper cleaning methods, including power/pressure washing, acid cleaning, or use of harsh/unapproved chemicals. (Approved Furniture Cleaning supplies are dawn dish soap and water, and appropriate Vinyl Sauce (approved by Morbern for interiors.)
• Improper storage or mooring, including water pooling on covers, leaving Bimini up during storms or high winds, or cover damage while trailering
• Damage caused by animals, pests, rodents, or birds
• Replacement parts that may not exactly match original color, style, or materials

Claim Process

Claims must be made through an authorized Alera dealer with proof of purchase and a description of the issue. Dealer inspection and pre-approval by Alera Marine Group are required prior to repairs.

Arbitration

All disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in Indiana under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
